Human chain formed for restoration of world peace JERUSALEM: Israelis, Palestinians and people from around the world gathered in Jerusalem to form a human chain for peace around the old city walls.

The event called 'Jerusalem Hug' or 'Big Hug' was created as a gesture to encourage respect and peace in the world, starting in Jerusalem.

Those who gathered held hands to form a human chain around the city walls and later hugged one another.

One woman who calls herself "White Eagle Medicine Woman" organised drumming and singing at the event.

She said it was important that everybody worked together to bring about peace in the world.
