FM leaves for Italy to attend G-8 conference ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has left for Italy to participate in G-8 conference of foreign ministers over Afghanistan.

According to the sources of Foreign Office, the conference is set to focus on Pak-Afghan border control, Pak-Afghan economic development, drugs control, refugees, food shortage and uplift projects for Afghanistan.

China, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt have been invited to the conference besides the G-8 countries.

US special envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke, Indian foreign minister S.M. Krishna and Afghan foreign minister Dr. Spanta will also participate in the conference.
