Two matches in World Cup football today
Updated at: 1037 PST,  Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Two matches in World Cup football today JOHANNESBURG: The first match up for today of Round 16 –Game 55-Phase2, on Tuesday will be Paraguay playing Japan at Loftus Versfeld Stadium at 10:00 AM EDT in Pretoria.

Both of these teams want to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup, which neither has done thus far. In addition the Japanese are Asia’s last chance.

This game will more than likely require its methods of play in this game as Paraguay submits a very different type of play with mental toughness and technical awareness whereas Japans first three opponent were on the attack.

For Paraguay they have had the misfortune of losing all three times they previously played in Round 16 matches in World Cup play

The Second match up for today of Round 16-Game 56-Phase 2, for Tuesday will be Spain playing Portugal from Green Point Stadium in Cape town at 2:30 PM EDT.

This is a game fans have been eagerly awaiting. Both teams have a lot of offensive flair and very gifted players.

The fans are hoping for lots of excitement and many goals. In the last match-up of Euro 2004 Portugal beat Spain 1-0 which was the only win over Spain n seven meetings since 1981. If Portugal is going to win this match-up Ronaldo will have to make the difference. Watch for late changes in the World Cup Betting line and World Cup Odds on what should be a very exciting match-up!
