Updated at: 2005 PST,  Thursday, July 10, 2008
Poisonous injections recovered from militants: Rehman Malik ISLAMABAD: Federal Advisor for Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik Thursday said the security forces had seized not only arms and explosives but also poisonous injections in raids carried out in Hangu.

Addressing a press conference here, the Advisor said only certain points are being targeted on the basis of intelligence instead of haphazard bombardment. The aim of this is to minimize collateral damage, he added.

He said the militants while fleeing from the area upon the arrival of troops had taken some of the security personnel hostage. Action will be taken against them, he added.

Rehman Malik described the arrest of accused Rafiuddin who was wanted to police and four other militants as important development.

He said people of Bara have welcomed the operation being carried out in their area by the security forces.
