Clashes in Hangu claim 22 lives HANGU: Twenty-two people including security personnel were killed in fresh clashes here on Saturday.

According to sources, a convoy of security forces traveling in two vehicles from Shanawari Fort to Doaba came under attack by militants in Daurai. This resulted in the deaths of 22 people including security men.

Talibans have claimed that their man Zarim Khan was killed in the clash while two others were injured seriously.

Security forces retaliated by firing shells at Talilbans hideouts while gunship helicopters hovered over the area.

Emergency has been declared in Hangu Hospital, sources said.
