LOS ANGELES: A previously unreleased video of Michael Jackson's hair catching fire while filming a soft drink commercial in 1984 was posted online by a web site.
The onstage mishap 25 years ago, in which Jackson's scalp was burned , has been blamed for leading the entertainer to prescription pain medications.
The famous incident, which took place during a commercial film shoot in 1984, saw the Thriller singer come into the trajectory of a powerful pyrotechnics explosion, causing his hair to catch fire and leaving him severely burnt.
News of the accident caused a wave of media attention, but previous footage only revealed a front on angle of Jackson as he descended a flight of steps with his hair on fire.
The exclusive footage however, shows a more detailed rear angle of the explosion, and also includes a graphic aftermath where Jackson’s scalp is clearly burnt heavily.
