 QUETTA: The Balochistan Election Tribunal has declared the elections results National Assembly’s constituency NA-271 void and ordered re-election in Kharan, Vashak and Panjgur areas.
PML-Q candidate Ehsanullah Reki had won the election held last year from this constituency. Independent candidate Lieutenant General(r) Abdul Qadir Baloch had field an election petition challenging the Ehsanullah’s success.
Balochistan Election Tribunal headed by Balochistan High Court’s Justice Akhter Zaman Malgani had ordered the provincial election commissioner to conduct recounting of votes after which the decision was reserved few days ago.
Provincial Election Tribunal today announced the verdict on the petition and declared the election results of NA-271 Kharan, Vashak and Panjgur as void and ordered re-election in the constituency.
