ATC releases son of accused in drug smuggling case KARACHI: Anti-narcotics Court Thursday ordered to release on bail Faraz Hussain s/o Sarwat Hussain, the main accused in Saudi Arab drug smuggling case.

At least three cases were registered against accused Sarwat Hussain, Shafia Khanum and Faraz Hussain; the first FIR was registered on charges of swindling Umrah pilgrims and casting slur on the country.

Another case was filed regarding recovery of 120-kilogram heroin from his parents’ house on Faraz’s tip-off. While, another case was filed against them on the request of Al-Huda Travel Agency for deceit and forgery.

The heroin case is under hearing in Anti-narcotics Court, while, the other two are being heard in district courts.

Today, bail petition was presented, which Judge Nuzhat Ara Alvi accepted and ordered his release on Rs20000 as bail money.
