 Notification issued to increase railway fares

 LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has issued a notification to raise fares in accordance with the earlier announcement in this regard.

According to notification, fares of different categories of passenger trains have been increased by 8 to 15 percent from July 26 and freight trains by five percent from July 28. Fares of all AC classes, first Class Sleeper, AC Business, AC Standard and AC Parlor are being raised by 15 percent.

Fares of all non-AC classes, First Class Sleeper, Economy Class and Second Class are being increased by 8 percent andthat of parcel by 10 percent. Similarly, freight of the goods trains are being increased by five percent with effect from July 28.
