 IDPs’ repatriation to Malakand underway

IDPs’ repatriation to Malakand underway CHARSADDA: A convoy comprising 587 people of 114 families on Friday set out to repatriate towards Malakand, Swat and Buner from Charsadda IDPs’ camp, Sugar Mills camp and Palosa camp, Geo news said.

DCO Charsadda Abdul Jabbar and Assistant Coordination Officer (SCO) bid farewell to IDPs’ families on the occasion.

Transport was arranged for IDPs’ repatriation by Charsadda administration while as many as 80 families of IDPs from Peshawar, 199 families from Swabi and 44 families comprising of 1039 and 218 people were also sent back to their native places on 20 busses and coaches, sources said.

Sources privy to Charsadda administration claimed to have sent back to their homes at least 1,38000 to Swat and Malakand Division while the repatriation of IDPs will be completed latest by 25 August.
