 HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Cantt. Police Station has began investigation after registering a case of attack on Geo News van here last night that injured Geo’s reporter and driver.
SHO Malik Riaz told Geo News that case has been lodged against unknown persons. He said police is interrogating ten suspects who were detained after setting up pickets at various spots.
Geo News’ reporter Anwar Kamal and driver were heading back to Karachi in Geo News van after covering Manchar Lake near Dadu last night when they were ambushed and fired at by unknown assailants on a motorcycle here at Thandi Sarak.
Anwar Kamal and the driver, Nasim were injured and rushed to a hospital where they are being provided medical aid.
Hospital sources said Anwar Kamal received a bullet wound but is now out of danger. |  | | | |
