Allied forces claim killing 70 Taliban in Afghanistan KABUL: The allied forces in Afghanistan have claimed killing 70 Taliban in their air raids.

Southern Province Khost Governor, Arsala Jamal told that the Taliban had attacked the police check posts set up in the province, when the Afghan police sought help from the allied forces, which followed allied forces bombing the Taliban hideouts. He said that some 50 to 70 Taliban were killed in the allied forces air raids, while Taliban have not confirmed or denied the official claim thus far.

On the other hand, several Taliban were killed in allied forces operation in the province of Paktia, while four suspects were taken into custody.
