 Selling continues at KSE

Selling continues at KSE KARACHI: Selling pressure trimmed value of leading scrips at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) Monday as 100-Index lost 72.34 points to close at 7711.06.

The turnover volume was low at 121.618 million shares as prices of 165 scrips recorded gains while 217 sustained losses and 22 remained unchanged.

A dealer at a leading brokerage house said that the market was bullish in the morning for some time and Index went above 7800 level, but dipped on selling pressure and close in negative zone.

The market capitalization was eroded by about Rs 19 billion to Rs2.275 trillion.

TRG Pakistan was the volume leader with a turnover of 12.064million shares followed by Maple Leaf Cement with 9.422 millionshares, DG Khan Cement 13.849 million shares, Pak Reinsurance 7.819million shares and Adamjee Insurance 6.374 million shares.

Engro Polymer closed at 20.68, D G Khan Cement 37.31,, Bank Al-Falah 11.33, OGDC 87.15, TRG Pakistan 1.80, Jahangir Siddiqui 26.06,Maple Leaf Cement 6.31 and Adamjee Insurance 106.14.

Bata Pak recorded the highest gain of Rs 29.33 to close at 625followed by Siemens Pak which went up by Rs 21 to 1015 while RafhanMaize dipped by Rs 35.31 to 1540 and Fazal Textile went down by Rs15.65 to 299.35.
