Rental plants to push oil import to 60pc KARACHI: The imports of furnace oil will increase 60 percent after rental power plants of 3000 Megawatts are installed during the current fiscal year, Geo News reported Tuesday.

According to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) sources, the rental power plants are expected to push the import bill rise by Rs1.20 billion.

The sources said the furnace oil consumption is expected to soar to 9.1 million tones as a result of rental power plants.
