Load shedding in industrial areas ends: KESC KARACHI: The power load shedding in industrial areas of Karachi has been completely put to an end for past several months.

Talking to Geo News, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) spokesperson Ayesha Eirabie said load shedding is not being carried out under a strategy with Sindh Governor, KESC and industrialists; however, any fault or extraordinary situation is exempted.

Karachi Chamber President Anjum Nisar said 95 percent of power load shedding issue has been resolved. But, Korangi Association President Mian Zahid Hussain it is true that load shedding is not being carried out in organized industrial sectors.

Site Association Chairman Engineer Jabbar said the spell of load shedding is still in progress for such small industries which are on the feeders of residential areas, adding these industries are 50 percent in number in Site areas; while, they are 15 to 20 percent in consumption.
