Updated at: 2354 PST,  Tuesday, July 29, 2008
Firm accuses NAB of harassing despite court orders LAHORE: A firm accused by NAB of illegally seeking huge loans from the Bank of Punjab, says it is being harassed by investigating officials despite court orders.

Addressing a Press conference today, Sheikh Muneer, Chief Executive Haris Steel said NAB had flouted at least half a dozen court orders.

He said the directors of Haris Steel were being harassed by NAB.

Irfan Qadir, Attorney of Haris Steel, contended his client had obtained loans legally from the Bank of Punjab by following standard procedures.

He said Haris Steel directors were being alleged by NAB of conniving with the former BoP hierarchy, adding it was also a blatant accusation that his client had maneuvered the credit by pledging insufficient or fake collateral.
