| GEO Pakistan | | Emergency declared as water level increases in Leh | Updated at: 2057 PST, Thursday, July 29, 2010 RAWALPINDI: District administration on Thursday evening declared emergency in low lying areas here as water level in Nullah Leh touches 21 feet both at Katarian and Gawalmandi bridges.
Rescuers started immediate action and shifting of people is continuing right now.
Sirens are being blown and people of low lying areas are being directed to shift immediately to safer places.
Water level increased and vulnerable areas are Nadeem Colony, Dhoke Elahi Bakhsh, Dhoke Khabba, Gawalmandi, Chaman Zar Colony, Araya Mohalla and other places. |  | | | |
