Mehsud directs local Taliban to continue talks SWAT: Central Amir of Tahrik-e-Taliban Baitullah Mehsud has directed the local Taliban to continue dialogue process with provincial government.

Talking to Geo News, spokesman of Swat Tehrik-e-Taliban Haji Muslim Khan said we would carry on our efforts to maintain law and order situation in Swat and said his organization would welcome every positive step to bring peace in the area.

He urged on the government to take immediate steps for withdrawal of troops, release of Taliban prisoners and compensation of their losses.

Khan further said, Taliban are committed to implement peace deal with NWFP government. Security forces are targeting innocent citizens and local Taliban in order to foil peace deal, he added and demanded the government not to target innocent citizens.
