No official clarification regarding CNG prices
Updated at: 1956 PST,  Thursday, July 03, 2008
No official clarification regarding CNG prices KARACHI: The consumers are still confused, as no clarification has come from the Ministry of Petroleum or Sui Southern Gas Company in connection with the fixation of new price of CNG.

Two days ago the SSGC clarified that the revised price of CNG was Rs43.83 per kilogram.

But on Wednesday the CNG Dealers Association announced the new price as Rs47.25 per kg after holding negotiations with the officials of the Ministry of Petroleum.

People still await the official announcement regarding the final price of CNG.

Government has not yet made it clear as to why the price of CNG was raised to Rs47.25 per kg instead of Rs43.83 per kg.

The dealers had already raised the CNG price by Rs2 during the last few months although the gas prices remained unchanged.
