Five including ASI dead in Karachi firing incidents KARACHI: At least five people including an ASI and a woman lost their lives in firing incidents in various areas of the city, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to police sources, two factions came down to armed clash following a casual exchange of hot words in Liyari’s Bihar Colony, killing a man and injuring another. They were immediately transported to Civil Hospital.

According to police sources, some unidentified gunmen opened fire at a motorist, causing him to get injured. The hurt motorist was soon taken to Abbasi Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Khalid, 30.

According to spokesman of Awami National Party (ANP), the deceased Khalid was president of Party’s Balida Town Warden.

According to police sources, some motorist saboteurs opened fire in Mominabad area of Orangi Town, killing police’s ASI Zahoor, 45.

The deceased was at Mominabad Police Station. The police officials held the incident as target killing.

A body of a woman was recovered from Sharifabad. The woman was shot to death.

A man was killed in a firing incident by unidentified men. The deceased was identified as Ejaz, 28.
