More 11 dead in Noshehra: people await help in Kohistan PESHAWAR: Thousands including 200 foreigners stranded in Dabeer Valley of Kohistan, are waiting for government’s succor for third straight day today, Geo News reported Saturday.

Also, 11 people were killed in Noshehra.

Thousands of people were left besieged in Dabeer Valley in Kohistan, after driving rains lashed the mountains, where around 200 foreigners along with their security crew are waiting for help having to stay thirsty and hungry without any food.

It should be mentioned here that no step has been taken up to evacuate thousands trapped in Valley Dabeer, Valley Kandiya and Pattan.

Several areas including Noshehra Kalan, Noshehra Cantt, Pir Sabaq, Pashtoon Gharhi, Amaan Garhi and Pabbi, were adversely impacted by the flash floods.

According to DPO Noshehra Nisar Tanoli, at least six bodies have been discovered from the affected area of Mohib Banda.

Meantime, at least five people were killed when their boat capsized during a rescue operation in Noshehra Kalan.

Several areas of Dera Ismail Khan were inundated, where administration and the Pak Army are in sync for a joint rescue operation.

Five Relief Camps have been set up in affected areas; however, the affectees are still without help thus far.

The relief activities are underway in the flood-hit areas, as the water is receding.

Three unclaimed bodies were found from the floodwater at Manda Head in Mohmand Agency, have been shifted to Civil Hospital Shabqadar.

At least two kids lost their lives drowning in flood tide in Kirk’s area of Takhti Nasarti.
