 KARACHI: Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman excused himself from attending Ulema’s meeting convened by Interior Minister Rehman Malik here on Sunday.
Talking to Geo News, he said he received an invitation from Rehman Malik to attend a meeting of the Ulema belonging to various schools of thought on the prevailing situation in the country which he had to refuse.
Mufti Muneeb said he told the Interior Minister that it is a shame for the government to failed in providing protection to the shrines ‘by the grace of which it came into power’. |  |
