Jafferia Alliance protests Para Chanar’s Sectarian violence
Updated at: 0508 PST,  Saturday, July 05, 2008
Jafferia Alliance protests Para Chanar’s Sectarian violence KARACHI: The Jafferia Alliance of Pakistan (JAP) protested the Para Chanar violence outside the Asna Ashri Khoja Masjid Kharadar after the Friday prayers. Different Shia organizations of Karachi took part in the protest where the main slogan was: “We don’t accept the American Talibans or political agents!”

JAP Chief and Senator Allama Abbas Kumaili, while speaking at the protest, said, “The government should defeat the American Taliban in Para Chanar who, within the last two months, have killed dozens of Shias. If their open killing is not stopped, we will hold countrywide protests.”

Religious scholar Allama Furqan Haider Abidi said, “The open carnage of Shias is taking place in the Afghanistan and Pakistan tribal areas. The lack of action against this by the states is shameful.”

He said that within the last two months, more than 350 Shias have been killed in the tribal and Northern areas of Pakistan.
