KARACHI: A seminar was organized to mark the Asian Cricket Council’s silver jubilee celebrations at local hotel in Karachi on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, former cricketers said region was full of talent and cricketing future.
Commenting on ACC history, former captain Wasim Akram said Pak-India competition helped developed cricket in the region. He termed Abdul Hafeez Kardar and Lala Amarnath founders of cricket in Asia.
Also present in the event, former captain Sri Lankan cricket team, Arjuna Ranutunga said money should be invested on ODI and Test cricket instead of Twenty20.
Twenty20 could affect the popularity of ODI and Test cricket, he added. |  |
