| GEO World | | Foreign soldier killed on patrol in Afghanistan: NATO | Updated at: 0842 PST, Monday, July 05, 2010 KABUL: A soldier serving with NATO's forces in Afghanistan has been killed in the country's south, where the fight against the Taliban is at its fiercest, NATO said Monday.
The soldier was killed on Sunday while on combat patrol, NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.
The death brings to 329 the number of foreign soldiers to have died in the Afghan war so far this year, according to a tally based on that kept by the independent icasualties.org website.
