Palm oil imports begin to meet demand in Ramazan KARACHI: Pakistani traders have started closing deals for importing 200,000 tonnes palm oil which will be used in meeting demand of ghee and oil in the holy month of Ramazan.

Deputy Chairman of Edible Refiners Association, Rasheed Jan Muhammad told Geo News that the deals are being finalized at 1200 to 1250 dollars per tonne and the shipment of palm oil will be docked at the local port by the end of August.

He said a number of traders have opted to stay out of business after dollar has become considerably expensive compared to rupee.
