MUMBAI: Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Tuesday said India would raise the issue of terror and action against the accused of 26/11 attacks during his upcoming visit to Islamabad.
“We would like to talk to Pakistan on a number of concerns… but the primary concern would continue to be the terrorism. I will continue to talk about terror… about Mumbai attacks and also find out that at what stage is the trial of the accused of 26/11 is,” he said while returning from his five-day visit to Mauritius, Mozambique and Seychelles.
“After the visits of Indian Home Minister and Foreign Secretary to Islamabad, both countries have a better understanding of each other’s perception,” he said, adding there was a need to “reduce the trust deficit that seems to have mounted over a period of time”.
The meetings between the two Prime Ministers have created an atmosphere where we can talk with Pakistan without any inhibitions, he added. | |
