Suspension of Kala Bagh Dam project challenged in SC ISLAMABAD: The cancellation of Kala Bagh Dam project was challenged in Supreme Court here on Tuesday.

The Chairman of Pakistan People’s Movement (PPM) filed the petition in Supreme Court (SC) against the termination of Kala Bagh Dam project after the Islamabad High Court had rejected the petition.

The petition declared that the project was capable of producing 4500 MW power whose feasibility and infrastructure have already consumed billion rupees.

He requested the SC in the petition to prevent government from utilizing the allocated money for this plan for other projects.
