Updated at: 1804 PST, Tuesday, August 11, 2009 KARACHI: The sale of big cars has registered a sizeable increase of 214 percent while the sale of small cars slashed by 17 percent in July 2009 compared to the same period last year.
The sale of 1300cc and bigger cars in July 2009 stood at 4,351 units while the sale of 800cc and smaller cars shrank to 8,560.
The number of 1000cc cars sold in the above period rose by 40 percent to 1,555.
