LPG soars by Rs15/kg ISLAMABAD: The prices of the commodities surge unfettered in the run up to the holy month of Ramazan. The latest in the lineup is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which soared by Rs15 per kilogram, Geo News reported Wednesday.

The gas, after this hike, settled at Rs140/kg in Fata, Swat and Gilgit.

Talking to Geo News, LPG Distributors Association President Irfan Khokhar said the LPG domestic cylinder price advanced Rs15/kg to Rs177 and the commercial cylinder smashed ahead to Rs680.

Khokhar said the recent hike by the LPG Marketing companies is utterly unwarranted, which has posted a record increase in the gas price across the country.

The gas surged to Rs105/kg in Lahore and Gujranwala; while, Rawalpindi, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Hyderabad and Mirpur have LPG at 110/kg.

The gas is at 125/kg in Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot.
