 LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket team’s coach Geoff Lawson has suddenly left for Australia on Tuesday.
Sources say that his differences with PCB’s selection committee over selection of national squad for the Champions Trophy is main reason for his departure to
Australia.
Coach Lawson established some difference with selection committee over few players after which he took the decision to leave for Australia, sources said.
Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shafqat Naghmi told Geoff Lawson has gone to New Zealand and Australia on request of ICC Task Team where he will meet players and board officials and try to remove their concerns about visiting Pakistan.
About differences over selection matter, Naghmi said he might have difference of opinion with the selection committee but this is not the reason behind his Australian visit. |  |
