KARACHI: The value of rupee against dollar further eroded by paisa 45, which saw the inter-bank trading today closed at Rs73.75, its record lowest.
Dollar yesterday in the inter-bank market had closed at Rs73.30, while its sustained high demand sent it trading at close today at Rs73.75, while offers of Rs73.80 was seen made. Analyst said that political instability in the country, increase in imports and the outflow of dollar on account of re-payment of loans triggered pressure on the value of rupees. Pakistan’s import bill in the first month of the current fiscal year, soaring by about 38 percent, has already mounted to $3.5 billion.
