 Record fall in gold prices

 KARACHI: Gold dipped by a record Rs 1,071 to Rs 19,714 per 10 grams in the local market Tuesday on strong dollar, as its international price also declined to $ 811 an ounce, market sources said.

A leading gold dealer said that gold has declined on a strong dollar and weak rupee. He said that gold has fallen by a record $ 53 in the international market in a single day as US currency stabilized worldwide.

Silver also fell to Rs 334.28 per 10 grams.
