Independence Day Hockey: Fatima Jinnah eleven beat begum Rana eleven LAHORE: Fatima Jinnah eleven trounced Begum Rana Liaquat Ali Khan eleven by 3-0 in the Independence Day Women Hockey match played here.

The match played under the aegis of Pakistan Hockey Federation (Women Wing) at the National Hockey Stadium here was 1-1 draw at the half time, but the Fatima Jinnah eleven in the second half scoring further two goals reserved the match in its name.

Aneela Khan, Shahina Yaqub and Saba Saeed from the winning team scored one each, while Shamshad of Bugum Rana Liaquat Ali Khan eleven scored the lone goal.

U.S. Consulate Political and Economic Section chief, Matthew D Love was the chief guest of the match played here.
