 Six youths drown in River Chenab

 CHINIOT: As many as six young men were drowned while they were taking bath in River Chenab here on Friday, Geo news reported.

They were hailing from Faisalabad, Kamalia, Bhindi Bhattian meanwhile the corpses of two among them were later recovered while the remaining others were being searched out, sources said.

No rescue efforts were commenced by administration till as late as Friday night while the accident had occurred in the day hours, sources divulged.

Since then, the local people have been trying to locate the dead bodies of the remaining youths on their own, witnesses claimed.

The drowned youths were later identified as Muhammad Khalid, Shahzad, Umair, Azim, Shahzad S/o, Saleem and Tanvir, sources added.
