ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over, are observing the Indian Independence Day on Monday (today), as Black Day marked with complete strike in occupied Kashmir and protest rallies in the world capitals.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the call for the observance of the Black Day was given by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and illegally detained senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani to convey to the world that the people of Kashmir continue to be deprived of their birth right of self-determination.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions will remain closed in the held territory on the occasion.
