LONDON: Pakistani High Commissioner in London, Wajid Shams-ul-Hassan has said over 2000 people have lost their lives and more than 20 million people have been stranded with no food, drinking water, cloths and homes due to deadly devastation brought about by worst floods in the history of Pakistan.
He said the reconstruction of infrastructure including rebuilding of houses, communication infrastructure in ill-fated cities, villages, districts will need a huge amount of 15 billion dollars besides a long term planning: akin to a Marshal Plan, Geo News quoted him as hoping on Tuesday.
“It is not possible to estimate the exact devastation wrought by floods in all provinces in Pakistan at this point of time”, he said adding |  | | | |
