Karachi too facing Talibanization threat: Salim Shahzad BIRMINGHAM: MQM Rabita Committee Convener, Salim Shahzad said that the poor and middle class has as much right over Pakistan as those of the Jagirdars and Waderas, the poor facing starvation and instead of addressing their problems, the entire focus remain centered on the reinstatement of judges.

Addressing a gathering celebrating the Independence Day under the aegis of Birmingham MQM unit, he said that on the one hand, the poor facing starvation, a large number of people offering for sale their children in the market and millions stand uprooted in floods, but on the other hand, instead of addressing their problems, all stress was being laid on the reinstatement of judges. He said that Talibanization efforts were on in Karachi also alike NWFP province. He said that we believe in humanity and targeting people on religious hatred, prejudice and terrorism was not justified in any way.

MQM Rabita Committee members Muhammad Ashfaque, Mustafa Azizabadi, Sindh Assembly member, Mohtarma Zareen Majeed and MQM UK organizer, Dr. Salim Danish also addressed the gathering.
