Two youths tortured to death in public in Sialkot

Updated at: 0125 PST,  Friday, August 20, 2010
SIALKOT: Two youths were beaten with baton to death in front of mass gathering in a broad daylight here on Thursday, Geo News reported.

Later, both the dead bodies were hanged in upside-down position on a chowke in front of a large number of people for a little while.

The reason to torture youths to death is still unknown however some police constables and police’s officer-ranking personnel were witnessing the tragic incidents, seemingly sending a message of law enforcement agencies’ helplessness in maintenance of law and order in country.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, taking suo motto notice of this worst brutality, has summoned District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot in apex court on Friday.
