 KARACHI: Police said it had arrested 18 alleged land grabbers and recovered weapons after encounter near Sachal Goth area of Karachi on Wednesday.
The place is situated in the jurisdiction of Sachal police station near Naya pul at Super Highway. Following the complaint, police reached the area to evacuate the 16-acre state land but the land grabbers opened fire on them.
Police, however, after some stiff resistance, arrested almost 18 members of land mafia and recovered the number of weapons from their possessions. |  |
