Justice (R) Kazim appointed inquiry officer in Sialkot murder case

Updated at: 1933 PST,  Saturday, August 21, 2010
Justice (R) Kazim appointed inquiry officer in Sialkot murder case SIALKOT: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala Zulfiqar Cheema has said that the two brothers Mughees and Muneeb who were brutally tortured and killed in broad daylight by a mob in Sialkot belonged to a respectable family.

“I cannot say if the two brothers were involved in a decoity,” the RPO said here on Saturday, adding the role of the police in the entire scene is highly condemnable.

He said the Chief Justice of Pakistan has appointed Justice (Retd.) Kazim Ali Malik as inquiry officer of the barbaric incident.

A widow of Bilal, who was also killed in the incident, insisted that decoits killed her husband and accused Mughees and Muneeb for the same.
