 High floods at Guddu, Sukkur, Kotri barrages

High floods at Guddu, Sukkur, Kotri barrages SUKKUR: Floodwater has kept its level very high passing through Sukkur and Guddu Barrages for last some days while water level at Kotri Barrage upstream is witnessing a constant and alarming surge where emergency has been declared in Kutcha areas located alongside downstream with people being rapidly evacuated to safer places, Geo News reported Sunday morning.

Water inflow at all three barrages is constantly surging particularly at Kotri Barrage, keeping up pressure against all safety embankments along River Indus at downstream, said Flood Forecasting Division.

High flood tide is also passing at Kotri Barrage where water level is constantly surging alarmingly. Water inflow at Kotri Barrage upstream is 8,21,933 cusecs while its downstream level is being recorded at 7,98,592 cusecs.

According to Flood Forecast Division (FFC) the inflow of water at Guddu Barrage upstream is 7,98,592 cusecs and outflow at downstream is 8,89,234 cusecs.

Likewise, a high floodtide of 8,97,919 cusecs is flowing at Sukkur Barrage while its outflow at downstream is 8,66,849 cusecs.
