Lanka A beats Pakistan A by 34 runs COLOMBO: Pakistan A cricket team suffered defeat by Sri Lanka A team by 34 runs in third match of five-match series here on Monday, Geo news reported.

Pakistan A is leading series by 2-1.

Sri Lanka A compiled a huge total of 300 runs for the loss of six wickets, which Pakistan A team failed to achieve within allotted 50 overs quota.

Two Lankan openers remained top scorers with Tharanga 107 and Odawatay 131 runs while Muhammad Talha and Abdul Rehman took three wickets each.

Later, the rain affected match was reduced to 46 overs, cutting short target to 288 runs but Pakistan A team was bowled out at 253 runs with Shahzad 91 and Faisal Iqbal 73 runs.
