KARACHI: Utility Stores are facing difficulties in receiving sugar from the sugar mills despite issuance of delivery orders by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).
According to Utility Store sources, TCP has released orders to deliver 22 thousand tonnes sugar for Sindh, but the sugar mill-owners are using delaying tactics to defer its supply to Utility Stores.
They said under the current circumstances TCP should bound the sugar mills to deliver the sugar to Utility Stores at the earliest so that no shortage is faced in its availability.
The sources added that the utility stores are expecting a rise in their daily quota of sugar supply after receiving the delivery orders from the TCP. | |
