5 injured in Kurram Agency clashes
Updated at: 1312 PST,  Thursday, August 28, 2008
5 injured in Kurram Agency clashes PARACHINAR: As the bloody battles in Kurram enter their 22nd day, five more people have been injured, but due to the one sided ceasefire declared by the Tori tribe - overall violence has decreased in the troubled agency.

Bangash tribesmen are reportedly still attacking Tori tribe positions even after the tribe declared a ceasefire until the 10th day of Eid.

The agency is also entering its tenth day of power outages as suspected militants have disconnected power lines in the Dagan area, suspending power to most of the region. All communications are also down in the area.

So far in the 22 days of fighting more than 460 people have been killed and over 600 injured.
