Clashes between security forces, militants in Darra Adam Khel
Updated at: 1927 PST,  Saturday, August 30, 2008
Clashes between security forces, militants in Darra Adam Khel KOHAT: Clashes between security forces and militants are continuing in tribal areas, whereas the Kohat tunnel has been closed for traffic here on Saturday.

According to sources, clashes were continuing for the second day between security forces and militants in Darra Adam Khel – a semi tribal area adjacent to Peshawar.

The security forces carried out action in the areas of Shani Kalay, Akhorwal, Shiraki and other areas.

According to sources, security forces pounded militants hideouts with mortar shells in Kohat throughout last night.

Police and security forces have set up a security check post near Sapina police station where vehicles are being prevented from traveling toward Darra Adam Khel. This has broken up the communication link between Peshawar and Kohat, causing severe hardships to people.
