 LAHORE: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) won the National Junior Hockey Championship by defeating the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) 4-2 here on Saturday.
In the final played at the National Hockey Stadium, both teams scored one goal each in the first half but the PIA dominated the second half and ultimately emerge victorious in the match to win the title.
For the PIA, captain Kashif Ali scored two goals and Shahbaz Ahmed and Zaheer Ahmed netted one goal each.
For the National Bank, Ateeq and Taufiq made one goal each.
In the end, secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation Asif Bajwa and former Olympian Brig Manzoor Hussain Atif gave away the prizes. |  |
