UN lauds plantation of 0.5m plants at Sindh River Coast NEW YORK: United Nations (UN) has clapped over plantation of over 500,000 plants near Coast of Sindh River on Tuesday, Geo news reported.

The statement released here from officials hailing from UN Environment Program (UNEP), said it is commendable to plant over 500, 0000 plants at the Coast of Sindh River near Thatta district.

It is worth of mention that as many as 541,000 plants were grown in single day through 300 volunteers on July15, 2009 at Sindh River Coast near Thatta district.

The volunteers got their names enshrined in Guinness Book of World Record (GBWR) by plantation of over 500,000 plants in single day on July15, 2009.
