 PHF invites 31 players for camp

PHF invites 31 players for camp LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) invited at least 31 players at the Conditioning Camp for the preparation of World Cup qualifying round, Geo News reported Wednesday.

The former captain Muhammed Saqlain has been dropped. The federation said a farewell ceremony will be held to honour Muhammed Saqlain. According to PHF spokesman, the first phase of Conditioning Camp will be held at National Hockey Stadium from August 10 to September 10.

At least 31 players including Salman Akbar, Sohail Abbas, Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi and Wasim Ahmed have been invited for the camp. Muhammed Saqlain is not included.

The federation spokesman said the farewell ceremony will soon be held to pay tribute to Saqlain over his services for the hockey in Pakistan.
