Ajay Devgn loves to play Haji Mastan MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn was recently on the popular Indian sitcom Aap Ki Adalat and he admitted that he loved playing the role of Haji Mastan, the infamous underworld don in the film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. He also says that his role was different from what he did in the film Company.

Rajat Sharma hosts ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ on India TV. Ajay further said that the movie isn’t completely based on the life and ‘works’ of Haji Mastan, however does draw motivation from his life in parts.

The actor had to study the lifestyles that were prevalent in 70s Mumbai. He had to, in a way, time travel back to 1970s and had to wear bell bottom trousers and adopt the conventional mannerisms of that time.

He also said that he and Amir Khan are some of the remaining Bollywood actors who needn’t manipulate anyone for an award.
